This workshop was organized as a part of the World Health Day program, which had been scheduled to be celebrated on the 7th of April 2017, to mark the founding anniversary of the World Health Organization. The theme for the World Health Day 2017 was “Depression – Let’s Talk“. The objective of the program was to enhance the knowledge on Depression among doctors, nurses, supporting staff and caregivers. The workshop was held at the main auditorium of Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama. This was organized by the Institute for Research and Development, Battaramulla in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health, Angoda and Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama. Dr. P. Kandapolaarachchi, Dr. B. Abeyrathna, Dr. T. Athurugiriya, and Dr. N. Ranaweera, were the resource persons for this program.
