Prof. Athula Sumathipala (Prof of Psychiatry, University of Keele, UK and Hon. Director, Institute for Research & Development in Health & Social Care) has been appointed as the Section Editor for Chronic Diseases of the Journal of Health, Population and Nutrition. The JHPN is an open access, peer-reviewed journal with an impact factor of 1.39. It publishes articles across the broad areas of health and nutrition, with a special focus on research of relevance to developing countries. Topic areas include global health, maternal and child health, nutrition, common illnesses and determinants of population health.
